During her first year of Rabbinical School, Jess completed her first half-marathon, volunteered with the Jewish Addiction and Counseling Service, and led weekly Shabbat services at Atria Forest Hills, a senior living center in Queens. Over the summer, she spent six weeks as a Program Director for the American Jewish Society for Service, was commissioned as an officer in the US Army as part of the military chaplaincy training program, and led services at Beth El in Baltimore for Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur. Jess is incredibly excited to be spending this year living and learning in Israel.
